While most individuals get one to three common cold episodes per year, some encounter colds more often than others. We are privilege to invite Dr Chao Siew Shuen, an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon practicing at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. During this session, we will discuss the reasons behind frequent colds, and how to distinguish between the top 2 conditions: common cold and allergic rhinitis (nasal allergy). As the treatment differs, an accurate diagnosis is important. In developed countries, allergic rhinitis affects both adults and children. The focus of this session will be to explore the symptoms and signs of allergic rhinitis, the diagnostic tests available, treatment options and related conditions.
